Being able to use the group metadata field as a variable in naming the files before track title.
Some albums - and I’d like to do it with more of them - use the ‘grouping’ metadata field for Piece titles such as Symphony no. 9, or String Quartet no. 14 in C major, etc, in the grouping field, with the individual movements alone as the track title. This means they are nicely presented in my music playing software. Saving "events per page" settings in Activity tab
Is it possible to have the "Events per page" setting saved. I always have to switch it from 12 to 96....it would be nice if once you changed this, the pgm would ask you if you'd like make this your default.

Use only the first track artist when using the "track artist" tag to rename files
When using the "track artist" tag to store featuring artists, bliss' file rename feature should have an option to only use the first track artist (main artist) to populate the filename.

Ignore albums based on name
... this will give better results in (personal) collections.
I like album (or better "track") art, yes I know; it's childish ;-)
But in my collections, I love to see, lots of different art. With album art like "the best of 1999", my collection of 1999 is no fun to watch.Alright, the adult part of this is, that the match result will be much better by the tracks within this directory. And that's what I'm aiming for.
Maybe the possibility to set this on or off?

renaming files
I thought you would rename files based on artist/album - I change the data. Re-apply rules and you don't. For example I have 1-Spin_ (live).mp3 in dir Faith(Single). I see NONCOMPLIANT
"Spin (Live)" filename should be 'VariousArtists\Faith(Single)\1-Spin(Live).mp3' but was 'Faith(Single)\1-Spin(Live).mp3' But tag says artist is Lisa Hunter, album is Faith, song is Spin. What gives?2 votes -
Check "Artist" Track To Known "Artist" Album First, before...
... checking against collection albums.
For example; I like to see by Michael Jackson - Bad.mp3 track, a recovering of the album Bad in stead of some collection album.
The year is also being set to the right release year (1987) in stead of the year of the collection. (And probably the right genre even so!)1 vote -
Sort feature in the Tags screen
Would allow sorting by column--artist, album, genre, track name.

Allow alternative capitalization rules for album and track to accommodate foreign language titles.
For example, in French, there are three sets of capitalization rules that are generally acceptable for titles (see http://french.about.com/library/writing/bl-capitalizationoftitles.htm for specifics). So "Au moment d'être à vous" is correct capitalization for a French language album or track name.
There are a several ways this could be done. One is to allow the user to select his/her own capitalization rules from a tick list of allowable rule sets. Another would be to allow the user to define his/her rules in a way similar to how file path/names can be defined now. A third way might be to detect non-English patterns in…

Add an "ignore words" list under Settings to facilitate proper sorting of albums and artists.
For example, "a" and "the" could be on the ignore list by default such that "The Nightmare Before Christmas" gets sorted with the N albums, not the T albums.
Making the list a modifiable setting would allow a user to add words for albums in other languages. For example, the user might choose to add "la", "le" and "les" to ensure that "La boite aux jeux jeux" gets sorted with the B albums, not the L albums.

Sonos ruleset
Sonos sound system requires the art work be of a certain pixel size and file size to display properly on an iPhone or iPad. An option to pre select this for bliss to conform to would be helpful. Other music systems could also have a preset "rulesets".

More Post-Scan Information
After a scan has completed, it would be interesting to see more information regarding the results. Examples of such information might include:
-Ratio of complient/non-complient files
-Why files are non-complient. Eg: Genre/case format/tags/cover art etc
-How this scan compares to your last scanThere could be many more, but these are just some off the top of my head. Pie-charts could be a good way of showing the first 2, a comparitive bar might work well for the third. This information could be useful if, for example, most of your fixes are being used on song title format, you might…

BTR - Bum track removal
I am of the generation of album purchasers, and more often than not it contains a track that should be deleted from the album, but I just can't do that. A good example of this is by The Police, I like every single track the have made, except MOTHER. I came up with the idea a very long time ago. BTR - Bum Track Removal - now it is possible with digital versions, just create a genre BTR and mark that track with it, when used with Music IP you can set a genre NEVER to play - select BTR…

- Artist / Album artist
- Trackname
- Album
- Tracknumber
- Genre
- Date (year)Is it possible to automatically delete others tags?

Normalisation of "featured artist" info and "VS"
bliss should offer the ability to normalise all the "featured artist" info either as "ft." or "feat.", if it's written as "featuring". I tend to take it as part of the artist tag, so an option to transfer the whole "(feat. XYZ)" block between the title and artist fields would be nice.
Note that feat. and ft. are not capitalised, and that foreign language releases may not use ft. or feat. to denote a featured artist. (Hungarian uses közr. and km., mainly in hip-hop music.)
Also some collaboration in electronic music uses a "VS" which should be capitalised for consistency.3 votes -
Integrate with Music Magic Mixer
If this could somehow be combined with Music Magic Mixer (also called MMM, Music IP mixer, Predixes Music Mixer and probably other names) it would be great. MMM creates playlists based on the sonic signature of the songs. It's now an orphaned software. I think it is open source. I've never found anything to take it's place. Quite slick. Just needs to be maintained, renamed (to Playlist maker or something so it doesn't get mixed up with recording software) brought up to date and marketed. Sounds simple. Right?
