Don't Require "Album Title" Metatag
Right now Bliss will not process files that are missing the "album title" metatag.
I suggest that Album Titles are almost a thing of the past. With all of the online streaming platforms available and the ease with which artists can distribute their own work, more and more artist are releasing singles at an astonishing rate. Most of the time artists aren't even associating these singles with an actual album. As a DJ, I'm at the point where I don't even want or need to organize my collection by "Album".1 vote -
Change "File Paths" Processing for Albums with Same Name
Right now I have my "File Paths" set like this:
<album_artist>/<album_name>/<track_name>But, when processing the 2 different artists that happen to have the same album title, Bliss creates a "Various" folder with a sub folder named after the one album and it contains all the songs from both artists.
Bliss should process this situation like so:
2 folders are created with the 2 artists names, respectively. Then each folder has a sub-folder named after the album and each of those sub-folders has the tracks from the 2 different, but identically named albums.1 vote -
Plex Plugin
plex music assignment is absolute junk.
you can add other scanners using plugin in plex. i think you have the best and that's why my idea would be you bring them to plex.

Allow a source directory and a target directory
I want to be able to drop tracks into a single folder for bliss to analyze and organize into an existing library properly. For example, I already have my library in "\Music" with a directory structure something like
"\Music\ABC\The_Beatles"I would like to be able to put a track "ComeTogether.ogg" in a folder named \ImportMusic and have bliss analyze it, create the new folder at \Music\ABC\TheBeatles\Abbey_Road and move the track there.
It should also be able to take an entire directory structure in \ImportMusic and reorganize it into the new folder structure at \Music
For example in \ImportMusic…

if the bandname has "the" in it, ignore for sorting
I'm sorting my music into groups. The folder "T" is very full, as all the "The Beatles", "The Rolling Stones", ... are in there.
This is a bad rabbithole, I know, but I'd prefer that I find "The Beatles" in B, "The Rolling Stones" in R, etc.Same with my "D": die Ärzte, die Prinzen, ...
But then Die Happy would get lost in H...1 vote -
Non-embedded artwork only speedy version (do not read any metadata tags at all)
I'm sure I'm a super-outlier. But your competition doesn't support this so thought I'd throw it out there. Got about 5TB of flac albums. It takes a long, long time to scan all those files and read the metadata. For my use case, I'm not interested in any bliss rules that rely on embedded metadata. I just want bliss to check the non-embedded artwork in the album file folders for compliance. It would be a lot faster if bliss could be configured not to parse the embedded tags. The "ignore embedded artwork" option solves half the request. If there was…

Enable SSL for Bliss on Synology
It took me quite a bit of troubleshooting to figure out why Bliss wouldn't load; turns out I had my Synology DSM setup to configure HSTS and enforce HTTP->HTTPS switch in the browser. It woudl be great if Bliss could run using SSL with the certificate already present on my Synology NAS.

Identify files that don't meet bit rate and/or sample rate standards
I have an extremely large library that I've been curating for a long time. In recent years, I've been careful about only including MP3s that have 320 kbps bit rate and at least 44.100 kHz sample rate.
Unfortunately, many of the files in my library do not meet this standard, because I added them a long time ago and I wasn't aware of these things. My library is so large it's too cumbersome to check all of the files manually.
It would be great if Bliss had a feature that allowed me to identify which files don't live up to…

How to separate albums that have the same name by different artists
How does one separate two albums by two different artists that have happened to call their respective albums the same name? I have a number of examples, but one that I can name now is Daft Punk & ELO, both have an album called discovery, and is labled with Various Artists under album artist, and the respective tracks all appear together.

Mark as singles
I have a directory of songs that were scanned from 45’s, so not part of an album. Can they be identified as such?

probably a bug. bliss combines different artists with the same album name
So clearly the album name is a primary key but there are many instances where the same album name is used by different artists and Bliss does not appear to handle these. "Greatest Hits" is a great example. Maybe make album artist a secondary key and adjust the logic to suit?

Choose Online Databases to pull metadata from
Bliss presently pulls from multiple online databases for it's metadata. Allow the user to select which of the online databases they would prefer their metadata to come from. For example:
[X] Discogs
[X] Allmusic
[ ] MusicBrainz

A way to move genres or sub libraries in and out of the library.
I have a lot of Christmas music. I only want it appearing in my library for about 6 weeks a year, the rest of the time I would prefer it be archived elsewhere. A way to move a genre or sub genre of music in and out easily would be lovely. The same with children music. Sometimes you need it in the library, but not all the time.
If Bliss could move the christmas's music out of the iTunes library until I ask it be returned would be very handy.1 vote -
Detect rip errors ... flag tracks that "skip"
In a very large personal music library, I would like to scan and identify tracks that are inaccurately ripped ... that have skips.
I see there exists a database that could be used

Creating filesystem folders for multi-disc albums
My idea is to have an option that will create separate folders for each disc in a multi-disc album - without affecting the album title or metadata.
I like the fact that when I'm browsing my albums, I can see one cover for each album - whether that be for a single or multi-disc album. In fact I simply deplore looking at 4 separate album covers each representing a separate disc in my main collection - that's what happens when you create a different album title for each disc. I much prefer it as it is when you've got one…

Folder duplicate / Album duplicate
There are albums that we have downloaded twice. Or that we have in several versions (24 bits, deluxe, reissue, etc) or formats (mp3, FLAC). It is impossible to find apps that do this. Find duplicates of the albums and then analyze the paths or tags if they are similar.

Add a "Clean and Rescan" action on Album
When displaying all the albums, it would be great to have a "Clean and Rescan" action in addition to the "Rescan" action for each individual album.
I have noticed that after too many changes to an album the database get confused and the latest changes have a lot of difficulties to appear correctly.
And a "Clean and Rescan" of the entire library is way too time consuming...3 votes
