Merge Artists based on aliases
Some musical genres may be more concerned by this feature than others, but there are many artists (including famous ones) who release music under aliases.
At the moment, Bliss is "only able" to manage renaming and file sorting through the artist field. This feature idea would require a database connection such as discogs in order to scrape the "main" artist.
Example : Aphex Twin in his long career has released records under the name of Aphex Twin, AFX, Richard D. James, GAK, Polygon Window...
Renaming through Bliss would move all these files around with no connection whatsoever.Discogs manages to…

folder.jpg not updated when hidden/system attributes are set
Windows Media Player (v12 Windows 7) marks folder.jpg and AlbumArtSmall.jpg with the System and Hidden attributes. Bliss should be able to handle overwriting these.

Handle folders containing Singles
I have a main folder called "Full Albums" which contains the folder structures defines in my rules. I also have a number of folders like "Various - 00s", "Various - 90s" etc. Each of this folders contains lots of individual mp3 singles, each mp3 has it's own genre, year and file naming convention (without track numbers).
The only way I could think of doing this is allowing multiple music folders, and allowing us to setup rulesets for a each folder (or group of folders).

Add a table/details overview (in addition to the grid)
Iit would be good to have a list/table view with album names down the left, and columns for other aspects like artist names, compliancy of different rules and maybe shortcuts to functionality, e.g. changing the art, file paths or tags within the overview screen.
The analogy are file explorers: typically they allow grid/thumbnail views as well as detail views where files can be ordered by different columns, and different metadata about the files can be viewed in the column cells.
Just as with the grid view, you would be able to filter by compliance or startsWith. The option would likely…

Control over the case of a file/folder name
Currently bliss always performs case sensitive comparisons of music tags to file/folder names. It should be optional to force bliss to consider what a file/folder name should be in light of a preferred case.
For instance, when using <fileextension> to organise music files by their file type, it would be useful to be able to enforce capitals, otherwise on case sensitive file systems we may end with folders like mp3/, MP3/ and so on.

Add setting for Compilation Directory name.
Provide the ability to have a different folder for compilations.
Currently, the artist seems to default to 'Various'. The directory name could begin 'Compilations' for example.
Here's a similar idea to vary rules according to genre: http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/36753685-individual-rulesets-for-different-genres

Auto update iTunes when bliss has changed an album
bliss integrates with iTunes by editing the music files that iTunes reads into its database. For artwork, it embeds the artwork into the file.
However, iTunes does not know that tags have been changed or artwork has been added. You have to use the "Get Info" option in the iTunes interface, for instance, to force iTunes to rescan for artwork.
Instead, bliss should tell iTunes that it should rescan automatically, once tags or artwork have been changed.
Note that a separate idea for rescanning iTunes when file locations have been changed already exists: http://bliss.uservoice.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1450921-update-itunes-database-when-bliss-moves-files

Use first track number if tagged with several
foobar seems to be fiddling with my track numbers when I change other tags, leaving tracks with two track numbers set. Squeezebox just seems to use the first number, ignoring the second, as does Mp3tag. bliss insists the files should be renamed with notracknumber. Would be better if bliss just used the first track number or (even better) optionally fixed the track by removing the second track number.

Support for "wildcard" directory prefix
Support for "wildcard" prefixes to allow for directory structure such as /storage/music/flac & /storage/music/mp3. Pointing Bliss to /storage/music currently generates a Uncompliant file path warning.

Manage playlists with regard to the planed "Organise files" feature
I really like the idea of the upcoming "Organise Files" feature (files are renamed and moved into directories based on their tags, like: artist/album/tracknum-trackname). However there is one major reason for me why I would not use that feature at the moment: it would break any playlists that have those files in them (at least all the ones based on file path, most I guess).
My suggestion is to add a feature that corrects playlists when changing the path of a music file (name and directory). To keep things simple I would have the user supply one directory of playlists…

Add sleeve notes
Artwork is great but if sleeve notes (all of em!) could be added that would be stellar.

realtime album info
We need to get away from tags (other than the basics: album artist, track titles, numbers...). Devices need to be able to pull up extensive tag info (other artists on a particular track, recording dates, track author...) in real time. Putting together all of this tag info takes much too much time. So, my Squeezebox should be able to go out to a bliss database when an album is being played, and display the information.

Explain what directory or file has "No Album Title" when I hit 'why?'
I have 12 'uncompliant' objects (albums? songs?) showing on the bliss screen which say 'No Album Title'. There's no explanation under 'why?', and AFAICT, no way to get the actual directory or file name of the offending object. So I have no idea what to fix!

Show non-compliant art as an alternative
If you have a strict rule the amount of art returned by bliss might be quite low, in some cases returning nothing. In general you probably want at least some art, so it would be good to provide art that is uncompliant, e.g. too large, as alternatives. In some cases these could be fixed themselves, e.g. art that is too large could be shrunk anyway.

add album art jpg quality setting
When deciding embedded album art size, there's a compromize between art size and quality. You don't want to double the mp3 file size just tp have a great cover, when a 100kB file will do the job. the jpg compression ratio / quality setting is more important than pixel size for how much space embedded graphics add. A size+qualiry preview window option would also be great. Bliss could then both resize and remap pixel quality to save space.

On the installed page, provide an option to show the size of the album art
Under each album art picture on the Installed page, optionally display the size of the picture; e.g. 300x300, 500x500, etc.

The creation of an album catalogue interface
Having a seperate web page that can view your collection (from chosen location) and browse the album art assigned - from this you can choose to correct artwork through bliss, this would be an excellent way of browsing your collection and correcting artwork once bliss has finished scanning
