Ability to select mutliple rows in the tag editor - for e.g. Artist or Album Name and paste into all selected at once
Ability to select mutliple rows in the tag editor - for e.g. Artist or Album Name and paste into all selected at once - would be very useful for adding artist and album names for missing albums.

Sort albums by bitrate
Add sorting albyums and naming almum folders with the average bitrate number.
This is to be able to differentiate your HQ musing from scum.

Tags - Save column display settings
It would be very useful if you can save your view/display settings for you tags.
Now, Every time I go back to the tags page it displays the default columns, and I have to select again the Year and Genre columns.
I know files may have different field tags applied, but this would be useful for Common Tags only17 votes -
Populate Untagged album info from a URL
In the Untagged page, I should be able to provide a URL or drag and drop a URL, bliss parse the content on the URL and populate the album data as a result.
Initial implementations could cope with agreed sources of data. E.g. Discogs and MusicBrainz would be easy to use, because we already have the data there, so just need to look up the data given the URL.
Other popular sources may be:
- Amazon
- All Music Guide
- Last.fm

Specify Tags - with the ability to remove "unwanted"
The ability to specify the tags you'd like applied to all tracks, and remove/clear any that aren't on the list. For example, if "Comment" isn't on the "allowed" list of tags and the track contains the "Comment" tag (with data in), an option would clear that tag, and remove it (if possible).
Things like "Encoded By" etc are annoying tags that just add bloat (IMO). It would be nice to have the ability to strip these tags automatically.

Has anybody tried using bliss on an installation of "Daphile"?
See: http://www.daphile.com This is similar to vortexbox and I think I'll give it a try. If it is somehow better than vortexbox I'd like to have bliss with it, of course... :)

Reduce data size: by compression rather than resizing
I have Bliss set to ensure my art is less than 1mb, but I ideally like a pixel size as large as possible to future proof it for use with applications. I was surprised to find out 'Reduce data size' does so by reducing the pixel size of images. How about incorporating some form of lossy compression that retains the image pixel proportions, but compresses the data in the image just enough to get down to the file data size setting? I'd imagine this wouldn't greatly affect the quality of images, but would reduce data size without having to shrink…

Ability to manage multiple folders / libriaries
I have a directory with Hi-Res sound, which i would like to keep separate from all other music i have in lower quality.
Would be nice to have them tagged as bliss does, but keep them separate.

Consolidate Albums (soundtracks, compilations)
Not sure if this is a duplicate of "Albums and Artists Fusion". If you think it is, let me know and I'll move my vote.
I'm after a way to join albums that have different artists (manually if required). This includes both moving the files to a common directory structure, and making the album artist tags consistent.
There are a couple of scenarios:
1) iTunes puts compilations under Compilations\Album Name\tracks, but some of my music that has been ripped is under Various Artists\Album Name\tracks or Various\Album Name\tracks or Soundtrack\Album Name\tracks. It would be nice if Bliss could identify compilations/soundtracks where…

Display Directory name and complete path for manual choosing album art
When choosing the album art manually nowhere you can know the directory name of the current "album" and that can help alot for choosing the good cover matching good album version

Missing discnumber makes album non-compliant
I can already disc number as "must be present", but a missing disc number doe not make the album non-compliant.

Reduce wordiness of duplicate file notification
Currently where A and B are duplicates, Bliss accurately reports that A is a duplicate of B and that B is a duplicate of A.
E.g.:
"5-PianoConcertoNo.2inFminor,Op.21,CT.48Larghetto.m4a is a duplicate of 5-PianoConcertoNo.2inFminor,Op.21,CT.48Larghetto2.m4a,5-PianoConcertoNo.2inFminor,Op.21,CT.48Larghetto2.m4a is a duplicate of 5-PianoConcertoNo.2inFminor,Op.21,CT.48Larghetto.m4a"This is needlessly wordy since if A is a duplicate of B we can infer that B is a duplicate of A!

Better Explanation of Capitalisation [Check Tag Accuracy]
The 'Strict capitalisation checking' option has no explanation of how it performs. I like Title Case for all words, if the online resource does not list tracks in Title Case would the user tracks be converted?

Keep composer name in classical album title (as per Apple style guide)
When I use the "Check tag accuracy" feature for album title in classical music, most of the non-compliant results take the form of wanting to remove the composer name - for example Bliss wants to change "Abel: Music for flute and strings" to simply "Music for flute and strings". However, the iTunes style guide says "The album title should include the composers, followed by a colon, followed by the work titles, catalog numbers, or type of works such as Sonatas or Preludes" (https://help.apple.com/itc/musicstyleguide/en.lproj/static.html) This makes sense - otherwise albums called "Haydn: String Quartets", "Beethoven: String Quartets", "Debussy: String…

Do not re-scan on update if necessary
While the feature to not re-scan on restart has been there for a long time, on every upgrade it re-scans the entire library. If there are only superficial changes or new feature additions such as the new settings page, why would it re-scan the entire library? I understand if it is something like fingerprinting once it is enabled would need to re-scan or hopefully just fingerprint. I am running on a Synology and after each upgrade it takes 2-3 days to finish re-indexing my library with almost constant disk usage. I would like to save wear on my drives and…

Detect key signature or musical key of song
I think it would be great to be able to detect the musical key of the song and offer the user a way to write that as an mp3 tag to the file.
This is something that is immensely useful to djs who do harmonic mixing, where changing the key of what you're playing up or down certain steps will change the mood of your mix.

folder art filenames should not be case sensitive even if the underlying file system is.
I am new to bliss and recently set myself up with bliss rationalising my Synology Audio Station popular music. A number of albums were missing cover art so I located and installed some. bliss continued to flag a number of these albums as non compliant/missing art. It turns out that in the failing cases I had somehow installed Folder.jpg instead of folder.jpg. My first thought was to add Folder.jpg as an acceptable name but it turns out that you cannot have two names which differ only by case and I had to go back and change them all by hand.

Consolidate multiple box set CDs into a single album entry
On my sonos different CDs from a single box set come up as separate albums with several identical pieces of album art in a row. Is there a way of making multiple box set of CDs show as a single album entry? At present the different CDs have been ripped into separate folders. I could simply put all the tracks into a single folder but then the track numbers would all have to be changed, a task I'm trying to avoid as I can see no quick, easy and reliable way of doing this, and Bliss doesn't always easily accept…
