Revisit cover art size parameters
Many of my albums have > 2mb folder.jpg files which bliss deems non-compliant and then proceeds to find replacement candidates. This shouldn't be non-compliant unless a user specifically sets a size limit on cover art file.

Identify 'Compliant by Default' albums with the Why? button
At present, an album which is Compliant by Default (CBD), that is to say an album which has no linked releases, shows all blue ticks when the Why? button is clicked. This is misleading and incorrect. It would be very useful if it showed *No Linked Releases' instead.

Linked Releases (Discogs & MusicBrainz) catalogue ID
Would it be possible to display the linked catalogue ID as well as the release date?

Detection/Search for Unprocessed Tracks
99% of the time, Bliss Just Works (TM), which is great. But I do find that, for one reason or another, I'll get files (sometimes just 1-2 in an album, other times whole albums) that won't get processed. Finding them, and figuring out why Bliss didn't handle them is difficult at present. It would be useful to be able to quickly identify every likely music file in the library (e.g., everything with a .mp3, .flac, etc. extension) that Bliss has not processed, along perhaps with some code indicating what Bliss thinks might be going on. Was the file not able…

Show linked source for "incorrect track name"
Would be really nice to know which linked source is causing the track name non-compliance. Usually, it's the only one that's different, and we could just unlink.

Override artist case rules to enforce canonical spelling [was: Fix OST/O.S.T.]
As discussed previously...
Dan Gravell (Founder and programmer, bliss) commented · August 21, 2015 10:37 ·
Adding every artist name would not scale, so I want to solve this alongside the canonical artist rule. I think I could add a checkbox to the rule saying "if the artist is canonically correct, ignore the case rule".
That said, OST are an interesting one! http://musicbrainz.org/search?query=OST&type=artist&method=indexed
Could you add this as a new idea? The same fix can also be applied to album and track names.

Localization, label and catalog numbers
For linking releases, particularly ripped CDs, it might be helpful to link the label/catalog in order to identify correct artwork. Also, from a localization standpoint linking local country first for many ripped CDs may be more accurate.

a welcome screen with random albums selections
The first screen when you open Bliss could be a random selections of albums instead always the same. This is not a problem, just a suggestion that i think could be nice.

Add rule for handling artists ending in .
User case: a user listens to R.E.M.
Right now, bliss moves media into a folder R.E.M_
This is not what the user would like because underscores are ugly and we have sensible file systems in 2016
The user might prefer that:
a) You don't try to help them "fix" this issue. Directories can end with a _.
b) You let them configure what to do, e.g. R.E.M. -> R.E.M or REM or whatever.3 votes -
Help policy command!
Hello I keep getting the following error message when I scan my music:
Couldn't create policy command from com.elsten.bliss.music.policy.tagsync.TagSyncPolicy
Any help appreciated

Filters: Move to top bar
All filters on theft hand side box (initial character, compliance, # of albums) could easily be available on a second line of the top menu bar.
Right now this uses valuable screen etstate for no good reason, which could be used for one or two more album columns.

Rule to reindex Sonos music library
It would be great if there could be a rule that would use the Sonos API to trigger a reindexing of the Sonos music library at the end of the rescan / new scan / find new content processes.
Currently, although bliss discovers and applies rules to new entries on my Synology NAS, I have to wait until the scheduled Sonos rebuild, or go and do a manual reindex..
Id bliss could trigger the Sonos index rebuild then adding new material to the Sonos system becomes one simple task - ripping the music to the library. Thereafter, everything is automated.…

Which release does the cover art come from?
It is a bit unclear which release does bliss use to set the cover art. If the album has, lets say, five 100% linked releases we wouldn't know which one did bliss use.
Could this info be added to the Activity page somehow?

Have bliss create reports designed to identify changes between releases in 'Compliance is' stats
bliss could do an album by album 'text' report (spreadsheet style like tags pages) of the library status prior to installing the new version and another dump after installation of the new. bliss could ask the user if they wanted to get a report when they have clicked on 'Update' and again after they have installed the new version.
[Column] - Album Title [data] Name of album
[Column] - Compliant [data] ( one of the following )
- no linked releases ( means the album is Compliant by default (CBD) - this is good info to have )

A live preview of folder/filename formatting
When in settings, it would be nice to see how the folder/filename formatting would impact upon files/folders.
Can you implement a before/after comparison preview based on music in within the folders reviewed by bliss?

Support the .webp image format (converting to .jpg) for cover art.
Support the .webp image format (converting to .jpg) for cover art. I say this without really understanding how you search for cover art. I have a CD where Bliss did not find any cover art, but I found it on Amazon with the .webp format. I downloaded, converted to .jpg, and added the art manually with Bliss. Would be nice if Bliss could automate this.

No duplicate if different file type
I often have .mp3 and .flac files of the same song. These should not be identified as duplicates, albums should be separated by file type.
