An error occurred while saving the comment Heh, yes a bit clearer. The problem is hinted at toward the end: "some of tracks don't exist".
Can you send a debug archive as per http://www.blisshq.com/support/reporting-problems.html ?

An error occurred while saving the comment Would this be for clearing out individual albums, or more than that?

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for posting. This might also get rolled into http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1608043-enforce-zero-one-or-many-separate-cover-art-files but thanks for posting; it's a separate idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Might end up using http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2966992/where-is-itunes-sdk-api-documentation . bliss runs in a Java VM (it's written in a combination of Java and Scala). We can use JNA to talk to the COM API. But I'd need to do a bit more work to find out if this is the best way.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ah, the message above was written for a previous idea you posted, which it looks like was on the same subject.
An error occurred while saving the comment I'm guessing (although you didn't say this) that the artwork you have is in iTunes, right? The trouble is that iTunes is not a particularly "good citizen" in this regard and does not store the artwork in the music files, instead it stores the artwork in its own database that other software can't see easily.
This means that when you use your music files in most other software/hardware external to the iTunes ecosystem it cannot see the artwork. What happened in this case was that bliss thought there wasn't any artwork and so went and found some.
The workaround to this is to force iTunes to place the artwork in the files. If you have a Mac computer then this is quite easy to do using http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=embedart . If you don't have a Mac computer you may have to do this by hand (as far as I know). Once the artwork is in the files, bliss will see that and it should work.
I think you also contacted us by email with one example of the incorrect artwork. This is a separate problem. It would help if you could send the debug archive as asked in those emails - "Help" then "Download debug archive".

An error occurred while saving the comment Merged from another idea:
---
- When I look at the Activity tab I occasionally see albums listed as "Unknown" for some reason. It usually means there is some problem with the file or folder that I have to manually fix. It would be awesome to have a single page that lists all of these error files because otherwise I have to track back through the Activity list to find those errors.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks Eric.
Activity -> can you send me a debug archive for that - "Help" then "Download debug archive. Really these are bugs.
Untagged files -> Does "Untagged" not cover this, or is this where other tags are missing e.g. track names?
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah... and of course it shouldn't be 'unknown' in the first place. Normally this indicates some problem when processing the album.
There is a workaround to find the album: go to http://localhost:3221/musicmodel (substitute localhost if bliss is running on a different computer). This URL basically lists everything you see in the overview screen, except in purely textual form and on one page. Now, if you do a simple Ctrl+F (find on page) and search for 'UNKNOWN' then you should be able to find the album, then go back to the main UI and find it there.
Also, could you send me http://localhost:3221/logs - it should zip up fairly small. These are the logs of what bliss did/encountered and should show why the album is 'unknown'.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, the way I'd prefer it to be configured is for it to "just work" and have zero configuration, just pick up the playlists as they are found.
The trouble with this is that if albums are discovered first and get moved first, our knowledge of available playlists is not complete and some still end up not being updated.
So either we need to pre-identify playlists, or certain actions (like moving file paths) need to be recognised as having dependencies, and so they should be delayed until a full scan has completed.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, sounds completely sensible.... there might be some interesting ideas for managing playlists.

An error occurred while saving the comment We should maybe be a bit smarter about this, because it depends on the OS. Windows shell doesn't like trailing periods, see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247(VS.85).aspx - "Do not end a file or directory name with a space or a period."
But if you're sure you won't be accessing from a Windows machine, I suppose that could be relaxed.

An error occurred while saving the comment Nick, sounds a bit like... http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1928497-ignore-compliance-for-certain-albums (with the ability to ignore a specific aspect of compliance, rather than all compliance).
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for adding this!

An error occurred while saving the comment Sounds like a bug - can you send me a debug archive? "Help" then "Download debug archive" to support@blisshq.com

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, you're right. Note that bliss will allow larger size artwork if you assign it more memory - http://www.blisshq.com/support/faq/general/assign-more-memory.html
Try doubling to 512MB.

An error occurred while saving the comment Which version are you on?
This is indicative of a database corruption. Following http://www.blisshq.com/support/faq/general/how-clear-corrupted-database.html will fix it, and will force a rescan.
Can you send me a debug archive via email to support@blisshq.com ? Click "Help" then "Download debug archive".

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, would also be useful for file organisation if we added a token for it - <bitrate> so all albums could be sorted under a given bitrate, or maybe add it to the filename.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks. Take a look at http://www.blisshq.com/support/faq/install-first-use/networked-music-collection.html . In short: try mapping the drive, or using the UNC path (the latter is actually preferred, if you know what it is). If you use the UNC path you don't browse for it, you just type it in, e.g. \\WD-MYCLOUD\music
It's true that we should show network and attached drives in a bit more of a user friendly manner. I've generalised this idea to say we should show network drives under Windows. Hope that's ok.

An error occurred while saving the comment Obviously this should also be reported better! Was it not in the Activity page?
Just the activity page might not be enough though; I sometimes think there's a category of error which you ought to be alerted to more proactively.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks. Are you referring to the Tags page or the Untagged page (or both?)

An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, a lot of this is also covered by http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1608043-enforce-zero-one-or-many-separate-cover-art-files
An error occurred while saving the comment Showing those images in the same folder as the music files is certainly easy.
As for the sub folder 'covers', this seems a bit arbitrary. Maybe if all image files in all subfolders were shown that would work?

An error occurred while saving the comment Yep. The only thing is balancing putting a lot of information on the page which might be useful. Still, I can see how this would be a good idea.
An error occurred while saving the comment Which screen were you thinking of - the album detail page where you see the information for one album? This is a good idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Can I have a little more information - can you click "Help" then "Download debug archive", then send me the resulting zip file?
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the report, I'll look into this asap, hopefully today.
Thanks, I've been wanting to do this for a while. My idea is to also incorporate the tags page for that album, so just showing the tags for this album.
