Set cover art types
In many tagging formats it's possible to set image "types", e.g. the front cover, back cover, picture of the CD, inserts etc.
In some cases, some music players actually require the type to be set to a specific value. Here's an example with the MyLink players inside General Motors cars where covers of type "other" are not supported:

Ability to show number of songs scanned
It would be nice for people that have a lot of singles in their music collection to be able to see the number of individual songs scanned in addition to total albums scanned. The use of the words compliant and non-compliant is also a bit confusing, but so is running the app in a browser window on a high port. :)

Allow rules with boolean and simple text manipulation(truncation, concatenation, insertion of delimiters in text strings, See below:
All the keys containing malleable text should be able to be manipulated. For instance I use merged keys - artist key: Director(if there is one): performing entities delineated with commas; Soloist. Also would be nice to assign the instrument the soloist is using delineated by(). This would greatly automate consistency. I have used iTunes for a long time. For classical music I configure manually the Album title space with several keys: Last name of Composer or Performing group name: Either album title or the form of the piece,e.g., Cantata, trio etc: subpart of piece 1. andante in e-flat major,e.g. I…

Is red checkmark good or bad? Idea: switch to GREEN checkmark
I am confused by the red checkmark under the album art. I corrected the artwork to be 600x600. It was 200x200 before and now I see a red checkmark instead of a red x.
Screenshot:
https://imgur.com/a/zz8kCF4I think you should switch it to be a GREEN checkmark.

<album artist> included in Album/Edit section
Please include a field to edit <album artist> when editing an individual album's tags. Unless I'm missing an option, the only way to add/change this tag's info is manually / per file in either the tags matrix for a particular album, or by finding the album in the top level tags page. Thanks!

Error/Warning Message when file access problems.
Happens to often under Windows that BLISS has read but no write access, when that happens it seems to copy the file and creates automatically duplicates. It would be helpful to get a Notification rather then doing the copying and creating duplicates.

Cover art naming either cover or folder, not both of them in the same file.
Cover art naming either cover or folder, not both of them in the same file.
I’ve set a rule adding cover art that says "Save an image artwork file to cover and folder. Artwork should be embedded.” How can I change 'cover art and folder' to 'cover art or folder', depending of the already present file name?
Bliss Support sent following answer:
Hello Michel,Unfortunately there is no such option at the moment. Could you please take some of your time to post that idea on our forum along with the comments?

Slightly more install information for linux
I'm a fairly proficient unix and macOS user now using linux. I would appreciate some more information about installing bliss on linux. For instance, on the existing page it says install with 'java -jar bliss-install-20190130.jar'. Should I do this as root or as a non-root user? When I do it as root bliss works and does not show errors. When I do it as a regular user I see lots of java errors at the command line.

Remove "allow xyz genre" button
Like a lot of people I am struggling to refine hundreds of stupid genres in my music collection. I have quite carefully set up which genres bliss should refine it down to, and now twice in two days I have accidentally hit the 'allow xyz' genre button. This triggers a rescan of my library which takes around 10 hours.
Quite maddening....
Can we make that 'allow genre' button optional, or put it further away from the dropdown to select the correct genre? I have 2200 albums and 1600 of them do not comply to the coarse grained genre listing I…1 vote -
Pick Album language
Sometimes, a same album come in different country with track titles in EN, DE, BR, SP.... For instance : ...Nothing Like The Sun / Sting : Bliss instists to rename tracks into Spanish instead of Eng. I see all the released album in the list, but can't tell Bliss to pick this occurrence over the others... even if i un-link all others.
Need a way to pick this album before others and tag accordingly.

Individual rulesets for different genres
Ie (genre = soundtrack) has a different naming and path structure
Same for Classical or eventually compilations...For a similar idea for root folders see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/5490000-individual-rulesets-for-different-locations
For compilations, see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1760321-add-setting-for-compilation-directory-name-seems

Maintain settings for each folder
I would like to use Bliss on two different folders: one for FLAC files, basically my 'masters' with hires cover art etc. , then I convert that to a different folder (same structure) to MP3, where I need the covers to be 500px max. There is currently no way to do this. Does not need to happen in the same UI, having two bliss instances running at the same time (different ports obviously, different settings) would also work. Dockerize maybe...?

Order of preference for deletion
I have ALAC copies of FLAC files and it seems to randomly choose which one to keep and which one to delete when finding duplicates. An order of preference should be given, such wav < mp3 < ogg < m4a < flac with the option of choosing highest bit rate for lossy encodings.
