Capability do delete inconsistent entries in the database
After changing title or artist tag of an album with an external program, bliss' automatic reorganization of files and folders makes the changes accordingly but leaves the previous entry in an inconsistent state, showing 'Unkown' and a number of errors. It would be useful if the compliance filter could be added with an entry to filter these albums, giving a resulting page where each album found has a delete button to get rid of these inconsistencies, instead of doing a complete rescan of the music library.5 votes
Allow editing of the genre tree
The allowable genre tree is a hierarchy of genres, from most general to most specific. It is populated with a large, best guess tree.
I would like to include some genres that are not in the tree, and to potentially edit the structure of the tree. The genre tree should allow me to add genres at any level, and edit existing genres. The tree should be saved across restarts.5 votes
Automating Uncompliant File Path fixing
It would be nice if there was an optiion to have Bliss automatically repair any Uncompliant File Path issues rather than have you click on "Fix File Paths" for every single album.5 votes

An Option for the rules to get the first letter of the Artist to seperate the Artist in ABC.. folder
An Option for the rules to get the first letter of the Artist to seperate the Artists in a ABC.. folder structure.5 votes
This is now released. The variable syntax is:
Which would mean group start characters of album_artist where the groups are three characters long (e.g. ABC). You can vary that length and you can have any variable in place of album_artist.
I’m not working on the ‘dummy’ or wildcards yet.
Fix all Tags instead of the viewable ones.
In the Inbox you can just fix the viewed Tags. Another option to fix all the Tags of your library with one click would be nice and especially in huge libraries helpful.4 votes
The New Inbox fixes this – https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2020/02/04/release-20200128/
The fix all options at the top of the inbox allows fixes to be chosen by category.
Install bliss as a Windows service
Windows has 'services' which are applications that are started when the computer starts. bliss is ideal for servers that are running 24x7, and so it would be useful to configure bliss to run at startup.
A current workaround, without Windows service support, is to start bliss as a 'Scheduled Task' at startup.4 votes

Add a dialog to browse to music directory
Currently you have to type it in, which can be a pain. The dialog should show all the directories on the computer on which bliss is running.4 votes
This feature went live from build 20091128 onwards
The activity screen should be paginated
There's too much information on one screen right now, it can take a long time to scroll through all the installed album art. It also takes a long time to load with a large library.
The screen should be paginated and maybe by default organised by artist / album name. I should be able to go to the next and previous pages. I should be able to jump to another page, the chooser for the page will show which artists are on each page.4 votes
This feature is now available for download.
Build for Apple Silicon
It would be nice to have a build for Apple Silicon.3 votes
Fix year update with Artist update

This was fixed a loooooong time ago. Sorry for forgetting to update this!
Solaris 11 Express support
My NAS box runs Solaris 11 Express for the ZFS file system and I'd love to be able to run Bliss as a service on the box itself, but when I try it says "SunOS not supported". Any chance of getting support? I'm happy to help debug if required.3 votes
This feature has now been released: http://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2011/09/27/new-release-20110922/index.html
I’ve just changed it so platforms without a file notification hook (such as Solaris right now) will still work, but only manually. You will have to press the rescan button for bliss to assess changes to your music files.
Control number of embedded artworks
In many music file types it is possible to save multiple artworks. However, not all music players cope with this very well.
This could be solved by adding extra entries to the embedded art option - adding a 'embed, but only one artwork per file' option.3 votes
This is now released: http://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2012/05/08/new-release-20120501/index.html. See comments for an example video.
Possibility to add folder art as well as embedded art
Apparently no folder art is added if the art is embedded into the music files. It would be nice if both can be done, if selected.3 votes

Files missing from the Linux archive
On the "How to instal" page you say to run "java -jar bliss-install.jar" but there is no "bliss-install.jar. Also, you say to run it by going to the "bin" folder, but there's no such folder. What package did you put for download? :)3 votes
I updated the instructions page to refer to the correct file name.
I also updated the linux help page as Ron suggested.
Add the ability to ignore albums where correct artwork can not be found
When going through the list of albums where bliss can not determine which artwork to add to them, you ca not always find the correct artwork.
There should be away of marking these to ignore, so that the list only contains those which have not been actioned.
At a later date, I might then like to go back to them or have bliss re-search for artwork.
This is needed as currently, I have a huge list full of albums where only incorrect artwork is available.3 votes
This feature is now available for download.
Allow the user to specify exactly what art they want for an album
When you click on 'change' in the installed activity view, there is only an option to ask bliss to lookup the art and reapply it. It would be good if there was another option to provide the URL of the art the user definitely wants to use. This is then embedded/saved as the user has requested.3 votes
This is now complete – see http://bit.ly/bZrPrC – you may choose from a set of alternatives bliss has found, you may provide your own URL to an image, or you may ask bliss to reset and install whatever art it thinks is correct.
Rule for removing embedded art
Currently there is just a checkbox - this means embed art into a music file.
It would be more powerful to supply the following options:
Ignore - ignore embedded art
Embed - always embed art in the file
Don't embed - never embed, and remove any existing embedded art3 votes
This is now implemented. The embed art checkbox becomes a drop down list, with the options as stated above.
The ability to Filter by rule and select multiple items to apply the rule on the inbox.
I would love to be able to Filter on the inbox by type Rule so that I can look at all the items that violated the Rule and decide how to fix, maybe in bulk or maybe not .... I would also be nice to be able to select some of the items in the inbox and auto apply the rule... :-)2 votes
The new Inbox allows “fix all” to be selected by rule type – https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2020/02/04/release-20200128/
When a folder change is detected, it rescans all albums. Is it possible to only scan the "changes" it sensed? It seems unnecessarily resource intensive to rescan each album for one new addition.2 votes
Assume this was already fixed – it should definitely work like this.
