An error occurred while saving the comment The page numbers are in the URL, so you could copy and paste the URL, but the more albums you show at once the less useful this gets.
Hmmmm... also (and I _think_ this works) if you copy the URL for an album (the last one you edit) then go back to that later, click the "back to album list" link at the top right, this should put you back on the page with the album in. I think...

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, that's a nice nuance actually.
Bear in mind this idea was proposed before the UI refresh. The page used to look like the attached (this explains the "yellow bar" bit in the OP).
I'm leaving it open because artists still can't be filtered by starting letter.
I'm not sure whether it will be expedient to implement "advance to letter, while leaving other letters visible" style UI. I had a quick look and it feels like there might be advantages but I can't quite make them clear in my head right now. But obviously this is always a possibility when the result set has a natural order. If you have any UX links to explain the advantages (and disadvantages) that would be handy.

An error occurred while saving the comment We already have that information in bliss, so would it not be better to just show some sort of tag or marker next to such albums? (Rather than force the user to tag it)

An error occurred while saving the comment If it just says "Scanning", you're right, it's just looking for files.
When it's analysing and fixing stuff it should say "Scanned 30 of 237 albums" (or whatever the numbers should be).
I agree this could be better communicated but it requires more screen real estate.

However, I realise it's difficult to code and install these rules, so a generic "find and replace" rule would be useful.

Just to check - you're referring to the display of fixes cost, right? It's not actually stopping you from doing anything?

If the rescan button is pressed that will re-assess albums - that's because the album might have changed. You can use the "Rescan for new and updated albums" if you want to avoid rescanning existing albums.

Is this for an MP4 album? You might be right - it might relate to the formats permitted by the tag schema.

An error occurred while saving the comment This idea applies only to the behaviour of rescanning the _entire_ collection after adding a genre to the "allowed" list with the genre consolidation rule.
I have a feeling you are referring to where, if you change one thing on an album, _just_ that album is rescanned. Am I right?
Thanks for letting us know about this via support@ - the "funky stuff" doesn't sound desirable!

Another workaround, and this is a bit crappy but, is to note down all the genres you want to allow and then add them yourself to the allowed genre list ( http://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2011/07/05/new-release-20110628-from-genre-tree-to-genre-list/ ). Adding them in one batch at least means there's only one rescan.
But yeah, that's a pretty tedious workaround.
An error occurred while saving the comment I understand that this is a pain and it takes a long time, so I agree with your point. The reason it works this way is that (at the moment) it's the only way of asserting that all albums obey the new rules.
A few options that would speed this up:
- Record which genre each album falls into, and only re-assess those with the genre that has been added
- Only re-assess genre, not cover art, files etc -

An error occurred while saving the comment I tested the simple case of just displaying your album and it appears this works ok.
I think there might be an underlying issue, but I can't find anything obvious in any of the logs you have provided.
However I did find that, after the track names were corrected for this album, the bliss UI refreshed the album page and the out of memory error we discussed in the support forum occurred. I think this might be what you were seeing.
So if it's ok, I'll get back to you with the resolution on the memory issue, then you can retest this album?

- C'mon Kids!All suggest the response:
- Set ALBUM_NAME in sn to "C'mon kids!"
This is definitely sentence case we're discussing, right?

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, the original request is about adding a shortcut from the DSM desktop to the existing bliss interface, not about adding a native UI. I didn't see anything specific in the original request about native UI.
Frankly it's unlikely I would look to put resources into a native UI. To maintain that alongside other builds would be too much work.
An error occurred while saving the comment Oh - @Christian L. are you referring to apps with native UI? Yeah, that would be difficult to do. I imagined some web control that was embedding the bliss UI so you could see it within DSM.

I don't understand this bit - what do you mean by "Edit Album"?
If, on the album detail page (not within the tags) you click "Edit" for the album and change the genre (you can also change the year an title/artist) all the genres in all the files should be changed.
If that isn't changing all the genres, please replicate, then send us a debug archive - "Help" -> "Download debug archive".
