Add Album Art Exchange search
bliss should find art at http://www.albumartexchange.com/
There's lots of very high quality art there.

Update alert and update within app
When a new version of bliss is available, it would be cool if you could be alerted to this from within the web app and also upgrade just by clicking on a button

The ability to monitor more than one location on a computer.
Those of us with large collections have to put them on several HDDs. I would like to be able to monitor my D:/audio & E:/audio concurrently.

Replay Gain / volume levelling rule
bliss should add a Replay Gain or volume levelling rule so that all music in my music collection can be levelled for volume.
As discussed: http://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2010/11/03/mp3-volume-replay-gain/

Standardize Capitalization of Tags (Album, Title, etc)
I (like most of you) am a bit anal about my music collection. I prefer all my tags to follow proper capitalization rules. I've standardized all my album names to match case wise ("A Hard Day's Night", "Beatles for Sale"), but applying these same rules to the track titles is just not feasible to do manually. Some of my track titles have every word capitalized, others have no capitalization. It would be great if there could be an option to allow bliss to correct tag capitalization. It could have an option to follow standard title rules (something like http://grammartips.homestead.com/caps.html),… more

Auto update iTunes when bliss has changed an album
bliss integrates with iTunes by editing the music files that iTunes reads into its database. For artwork, it embeds the artwork into the file.
However, iTunes does not know that tags have been changed or artwork has been added. You have to use the "Get Info" option in the iTunes interface, for instance, to force iTunes to rescan for artwork.
Instead, bliss should tell iTunes that it should rescan automatically, once tags or artwork have been changed.
Note that a separate idea for rescanning iTunes when file locations have been changed already exists: http://bliss.uservoice.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1450921-update-itunes-database-when-bliss-moves-files

Filter albums by compliance type e.g. all albums without cover art
Imagine I have the file org and cover art rules enabled and my music library has been scanned. I want to simply fill in all missing art first, but all albums with non-compliant file paths will also be listed under the 'uncompliant' filter.
I'd like a more specialised filter that shows [un]compliant albums for each rule. This way, I would be able to see all albums that have uncompliant genres, or compliant cover art.

Automatic year and genre tagging
Currently, when I configure my rules to require year and genre information, bliss finds all albums without that information and where possible offers alternatives.
This should be automated, so it works like the cover art lookup.

allow a picklist when genre is wrong
Reprise is not an allowable genre Allow genre: 'Reprise'
It would be nice if the system gave me the allowed genre's so that I could pick the correct one off a list. As it is, you can't change it at all, and have to use a tagging program.

Automatic mirroring of music libraries to different music file formats
While ripping lossless (to FLAC or some other codec) is always advised there are times when we need lossy music files.
One example is for portable players. Lossless files take up a LOT of space, so it's more efficient to play OGGs or MP3s or whatever.
In other cases, some music players simply don't work with certain codecs. iTunes doesn't play FLAC out-of-the-box, for instance.
This idea would add a rule to maintain multiple mirrors of your music library. Your current music library becomes the source. You then declare multiple extra libraries, with the desired music file format in each… more

Make it easier to see what has been fixed
The activity page tells me about the compliancy of my collection but I can't see what has been fixed. I can tell some fixes have been used but not sure what on (I wanted to check that I liked what it had fixed). Also, it would give me an idea of how far 1000 fixes would go if I bought them.

dry run
do a dry run especially for the freeware;
seeing the amount of "fixes" suddenly go down on my live library was terribly frightening.
I really need to know what will be changed where, my library is too large to let random software do something on it.20 votes -

Album art for AIFF
Any way for Bliss to support AIFF files? Most of my collection is AIFF and I would gladly purchase Bliss if you were to suppport it

Enforce zero, one or many separate cover art files
Different music systems/apps use different naming conventions, and it would be helpful to be able to rename and/or duplicate existing art to work with those. Rules could be added to allow multiple art files in a folder with certain names, or enforce that only one would remain with a certain name. Also, the rule should be able to enforce no separate art, or just ignore separate files altogether.

Ability to set "Fix track numbers automatically" in the settings
I have discovered I am really really tired of clicking "Set track to 01, Set track to 02, Set track to 03 .... over and over again in the User Interface. Why can't Bliss just do that????

add <trackartist> to the set of tags available for "organize folder"
Like it says on the tin...
Many compilations have an overall album artist (eg. "various Artists") but a separate artist for each track.
It would be absolutely brilliant to allow one format for single-artist discs (eg. <track> - <name>) and another for compilations (eg. <track> - <artist> - <name>), possibly by using the ID3 compilation flag.

Ability to Enter a Custom Search String for Missing Album Art
For instance, some of my albums have extra info in the album name such as (2009 Remaster). When bliss searches for album art, it includes this extra info in the search and (most of the time) doesn't find the album art. It would be nice if I could edit the search string that is being used (basically just to remove this extra info) so that I could get the proper art. A step further might be to have this happen automatically if no art is found, but that is probably asking too much.

Be Able To Choose Album Art from Your Existing Collection
For Double Albums, Bliss will sometimes fail to find a matching cover for Disc 2. You may have chosen a particular cover for Disc 1 and then find that the only covers available for Disc 2 do not match. This could be fixed if one of your options for choosing Cover Art was from your existing collection of covers - especially if it was shown in "Most Recently Added" order - you could choose the same cover as you chose for Disc 1 with a couple of clicks. At the moment, my only option is to separately upload cover.jog from… more

The creation of an album catalogue interface
Having a seperate web page that can view your collection (from chosen location) and browse the album art assigned - from this you can choose to correct artwork through bliss, this would be an excellent way of browsing your collection and correcting artwork once bliss has finished scanning
