An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah - currently we just use the fingerprints on their own. If we combine this with data online, we could recognise where the fingerprints _should_ be the same.
An error occurred while saving the comment Do you have an example album when this happens? If it happens it's not because of the name, it's because the audio is judged to be too similar.

An error occurred while saving the comment The Inbox is due to be replaced soon; this is good feedback that can be applied to the new page.
An error occurred while saving the comment Which page are you referring to?

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm guessing this is coming from the source databases. There's potential for recognising these albums and enforcing something, I guess.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, performing a full rescan (rather than migrating the database) in the case of a change would be a good compromise.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, all new versions initiate a clear and rescan.
Shall I change the title to "don't clear and rescan on every new version"?

An error occurred while saving the comment Nice idea. I get a lot of Cyrillic for Russian composers.

An error occurred while saving the comment To avoid the album being used to make corrections you can also click the "Unlink" button in the "Linked Releases" panel.
Do you want to enter the information about the album, or choose a different album with existing information online? For the latter, see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/20231899-add-a-capability-to-add-the-correct-linked-release

An error occurred while saving the comment I always thought on the settings page somewhere - if you change the file path it would have a consistent track path to update.
We do already have some examples, how are they not useful?

An error occurred while saving the comment In this case, are the tracks all in one folder?
Are the tracks "odd" tracks, i.e. not alongside other tracks in an album/single/compilation/whatever?

An error occurred while saving the comment Not the same thing, but this could be in a similar area to http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/2599926-the-ability-to-check-the-integrity-of-music-files

An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting idea to have user specified prioritisation... thanks!

An error occurred while saving the comment So... I think we should merge these ideas, agree?
And also it is important to try to fix the incorrect assignment of linked releases where possible (but those are separate issues).
An error occurred while saving the comment I just mean that in the albums grid the existing cover art, existing album title and existing deduced album artist are more there for identification to group a bunch of tracks, call it an "album" and use that "album" as the basis for checking for compliance.
(Attached is an example of bliss showing "Incorrect album artist" which is what I initially thought you were asking for; re-reading it looks like this is more about filters?)
So, how is this different to http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/31154179-fine-grain-filters-in-the-compliance-is-section ?
An error occurred while saving the comment Can you expand a bit - assuming you're talking about the albums "grid" the album name and artist name is already shown - are you referring to something relating to compliance? If there's something wrong with the album name it should also show that.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks, sounds sensible. One other thing - the compliance states that appear in the filter are derived from the currently active rules, so the number you will see depends on your settings. Either way, they don't show anything as detailed as per-tag compliance though.

An error occurred while saving the comment If we're doing this at an album level then we'd need a way of selecting all the albums - this could be done in one of the album lists, but using a grid for it is a bit cumbersome.

An error occurred while saving the comment We don't actually take into account the album right now - for this, enable the album artist or artist correction rule, and you get the canonical artist suggested anyway, in a form correct for the locale (of the release).
How does this affect http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/37986016-disregard-non-standard-artist-names-when-approved ?

An error occurred while saving the comment Ok, presumably you are using the file names then to perform lookups?
An error occurred while saving the comment How would you perform lookups if there are no tags? I'm trying to understand your workflow - the untagged files are already listed on the Untagged page (click "show tags") and the Tags page (perform a search for the filename).

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks - can you explain how the situation isn't handled?
Normally, each album will have a different album artist, so there would be four separate albums:
Greatest Hits by Billy Idol
Greatest Hits by Fleetwood Mac... and so on.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes - I think some level of consistency is also important.
A similar UI could conceivably be used to communicate what _has_ been done.
An error occurred while saving the comment This is a timely request as I'm currently looking into the way we communicate upcoming changes (although outside the album page).
The challenge is balancing information and *too much* information. The obvious solution is some form of progressive disclosure (a "more detail" button") but this and the expanded panel need to be designed in.
I think broadly you're right though, it's too confusing and not easy enough to see what will be done. Although, generally speaking, if it's an album level change, all files in an album will have (in this case) the artist tag (and/or album artist) changed.

An error occurred while saving the comment You should be able to click "Edit" underneath the cover art, or "Change cover art" on the albums list, and change the art there.
This will give alternatives and allow you to upload an image.
So when you say "it would not accept my phots" this sounds like a bug - please send a debug archive "Help" > "Download debug archive" to support@blisshq.com
