Individual rulesets for different genres
Ie (genre = soundtrack) has a different naming and path structure
Same for Classical or eventually compilations...For a similar idea for root folders see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/5490000-individual-rulesets-for-different-locations
For compilations, see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1760321-add-setting-for-compilation-directory-name-seems

Support for RIFF tags in WAVs
WAVs can generally adopt two approaches for tagging: RIFF INFO (which is native) or ID3 (bolted on, but for some functionality such as album art better supported by music software).
bliss only writes ID3s currently. The trouble is, some software only reads RIFF tags.
Example software, able to read RIFF but unable to read ID3 tags:

Integrate a music player
It would be nice to be able to preview/play a track. When track name disputes arise, this would be useful in validating which track you're actually tagging. (Among other uses)

Backup and Restore of settings
Hi there,
Would it be possible to implement a backup and restore feature of the settings using the Bliss webpage, rather than having to do so manually?4 votes -
Add Composer to "check tag accuracy"
Sorry if this has been requested (I'd be surprised if not) but I couldn't find it when searching. Could the Composer tag be added to the "Check tag accuracy" feature? This is one of the most problematic tags as there are so many (often terrible) ways that composers are tagged in metadata (Mozart, WA; W.A. Mozart; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Mozart, W. A. (1756-1791) ... and on and on). If this could be addressed, I'm sure a lot of classical CD collectors would be very happy - especially if there were a way to enforce a canonical version (name order, no…

Check for duplicates across the whole directory
As Said above 👍
Currently duplicates are only checked for within an album. You should also check across albums.

Better bulk duplicte deletion
The ability to detect duplicates is great, but deleting said duplicates is time consuming and clunky as bliss only allows deleting one file at a time and then rescans the album. When merging libraries I end up with hundreds of duplicates. It would be great to be be able to select them all from a list and then click delete only once to get the job done. Another idea is to have the option of removing all files ending in '2' '3' etc.

only automatically move if compliant in other respects
Could we have only auto move files only if they are compliant & not until. So the final compliance is the move. Therefore these can be moved elsewhere in huge collections therefore easy to see what bliss still needs to work on.

Truncate filenames to comply with file system limits
Especially with classical albums, they can get very long file names or directory names which exceed the limit imposed by various file systems. If Bliss automatically truncated very long file names to comply with the file system then it would avoid orphaned files that get left behind when Bliss is cataloguing and arranging files.

Folder navigation in tags section
Add folder navigation to the tags section.
Once the folder selected, the tags list will display tags in that folder (and sub folders) and the search box will work for that folder (and sub folders).
(searching the whole collection is too slow with a huge collection of music)4 votes -

Error Report
This one is not an enhancement suggestion - just an error report. I acceepted a suggested cover image for an album, and it seemed to sit there longer than expected. So I clicked on the album title to go back to the album's page, and this Java exception was displayed near the top of the page:

Auto mark files that have been "blissed" .
It would be handy that you can see which files and folders haven been handled by Bliss. I have more than 3400 albums on high quality resolution, but it is impossible to see what still have to be changed

Enforcing preferential tags over compliant tags
There are time when one would prefer the tagging for an album be modified from its "found" compliance. An example would be when an artist tag, say Mary Eggers, is normally found as compliant when shown as "Eggers, Mary", but one would prefer Mary Eggers. The problem is that after editing the tag, upon a rescan, Bliss often flags the album as non compliant, or worse, "fixes" the tagging back to the original, unwanted tagging. User Preferential Tagging should exist, even if a music folder so customized might not be compatible/compliant with other music players

there should be an undo button for when a slip of the mouse has applied a change that was incorrect.

Adding a "right click" to analyze tags and art with BLISS.
Adding a "right click" to analyze tags and art with BLISS. This would allow a way to check a mp3 without having to do a full scan with BLISS.

Automatically re-sync music files with online databases
Where music files are tagged with a identifier for an online database (such as musicbrainz) the meta-data on the files versus what's in the live database diverge. It would be great to have bliss be able to periodically re-sync the files to the live database.

update multiple art changes for various artist albums at once
I have a box set of various artists -- bliss got something like 60 covers wrong, and it seems like I have to change them one at a time.

The ? condition should have an else option.
I generally use the ? to check if something exits, if true do this, if not do that.
Example
<discnumber>?(<discnumber>,1)<tracknumber:nn> so if i have multiple discs I get 101, 102, 201,202 etc.. and if is only one or not set I get 101,102, etc4 votes
