Currently new folders can be added by:
- [it will happen automatically if "Listen for file changes..." is enabled]
- "Rescan for new and changed music files"
- "Clear and rescan"
- If it's a separate folder to the existing music library, adding it as a new folder in the settings page.
If you don't want listening enabled, the trouble with the second two is the length of time they take for a large library.
It would be nice to directly add a folder of music files.1 vote
I have a directory structure as /<year>/<billboard-hit-nbr><title><artist>.
Each directory contains exactly 100 mp3 files in order of the end of your listing from billboards top 100. I can't seem to get Bliss to process my files, keeps saying directory contains more than 99 files?2 votes

Would be nice if you were able to print off the collection but in IE Edge Chrome or Firefox the previews do not show the images so you have a broken print view.
It would be nice to have a hard copy of the music collection for reference1 vote
A suggestion I would make is to change the album folder browse function to a standard Windows explorer pop-up to search for folder.
I have several mapped drives and the browse function only shows drive letters and can be difficult to search through in a small window.1 vote
I have digitized vinyl with track numbers like A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, and B3. The issue is m4a tags don't support this. It would great to be able to renumber these from A1 to Disc 1, Track Number 1.1 vote
i have a lot of albums with whitespace in the album tag. Unfortunately i have to fix those manually.
Is there a chance you could automatize: Check that ALBUM_NAME tags are trimmed of whitespace?
Thank you3 votes
In many tagging formats it's possible to set image "types", e.g. the front cover, back cover, picture of the CD, inserts etc.
In some cases, some music players actually require the type to be set to a specific value. Here's an example with the MyLink players inside General Motors cars where covers of type "other" are not supported:1 vote
It would be nice for people that have a lot of singles in their music collection to be able to see the number of individual songs scanned in addition to total albums scanned. The use of the words compliant and non-compliant is also a bit confusing, but so is running the app in a browser window on a high port. :)2 votes
Allow rules with boolean and simple text manipulation(truncation, concatenation, insertion of delimiters in text strings, See below:
All the keys containing malleable text should be able to be manipulated. For instance I use merged keys - artist key: Director(if there is one): performing entities delineated with commas; Soloist. Also would be nice to assign the instrument the soloist is using delineated by(). This would greatly automate consistency. I have used iTunes for a long time. For classical music I configure manually the Album title space with several keys: Last name of Composer or Performing group name: Either album title or the form of the piece,e.g., Cantata, trio etc: subpart of piece 1. andante in e-flat major,e.g. I think you get the idea. Perhaps there is another great tool available of which I am unaware? These sort of simplified coding ideas manipulating strings and variable could be made very straightforward, perhaps with a popup list of pertinent strings or substrings.

I am confused by the red checkmark under the album art. I corrected the artwork to be 600x600. It was 200x200 before and now I see a red checkmark instead of a red x.
I think you should switch it to be a GREEN checkmark.2 votes

Please include a field to edit <album artist> when editing an individual album's tags. Unless I'm missing an option, the only way to add/change this tag's info is manually / per file in either the tags matrix for a particular album, or by finding the album in the top level tags page. Thanks!1 vote

Happens to often under Windows that BLISS has read but no write access, when that happens it seems to copy the file and creates automatically duplicates. It would be helpful to get a Notification rather then doing the copying and creating duplicates.1 vote
Cover art naming either cover or folder, not both of them in the same file.
I’ve set a rule adding cover art that says "Save an image artwork file to cover and folder. Artwork should be embedded.” How can I change 'cover art and folder' to 'cover art or folder', depending of the already present file name?
Bliss Support sent following answer:
Unfortunately there is no such option at the moment. Could you please take some of your time to post that idea on our forum along with the comments?1 vote
I'm a fairly proficient unix and macOS user now using linux. I would appreciate some more information about installing bliss on linux. For instance, on the existing page it says install with 'java -jar bliss-install-20190130.jar'. Should I do this as root or as a non-root user? When I do it as root bliss works and does not show errors. When I do it as a regular user I see lots of java errors at the command line.1 vote
