We haven't been able to replicate this. We have tried having an album with half one genre, half another, and no AA tags. We have then used both the album's "edit" button to change the genre but this worked regardless of AA tags...

I think I figured out the difference maker. I think you first have to have 2 disks with separate titles ("Liverpool Oratorio CD1" - Classical genre, and "Liverpool Oratorio CD1" - Opera genre), each with different genres and no Album Artist. Combine album by renaming to "Liverpool Oratorio", and then notice that genre is either Classical or Opera. Edit album, change to correct genre. Change does not reflect after save. Add Album Artists to each track, and save. Notice that genre is now changed to what you intended. I recreated this, and will email you the debug archive I took right after. Very edge case with easy work around. No need to fix for me...just through you might find it interesting.

I agree it's a strange case. Yes, I'll recreate and send logs. I've been able to redo it many times. The steps are: 1) Edit genre on album with 1+ "Album Artist" missing, then save. 2) Note that genre does not change when saved. 3) Edit tags for album, filling in each "Album Artist" field, then save. 4) Note that genre is now correctly reflected to the change from step 1, without additional edit or save.

This sounds like an odd one. Can you recreate it, then send a debug archive to us at support@blisshq.com. Could you also send the exact steps?
