2. Better pause on OS X

   Hi Have been running on OS X Mountain Lion/Safari. Bliss starts rescanning when I make a fix, even when I use the pause button. Thanks

3. ability to tag quality and rating tag through the webinterface

   I have a large music collection and play this on a great hifi system. Automatic tagging is a must have and do, but I find it hard to find specific music. I want to use the rating (and quality) tags to add while or after I have listened to the music. That way I can later find my highly rated music easy. Same for great recording/quality songs.

4. Increase number of media sources and add direct support for specific media streamers

   Increase number of repositories searched (I'm thinking here of Google images, Amazon etc. although they might get a bit annoyed with copyright etc.)

   Allow for optional naming of jpg file. For example allow the jpg to take both "folder.jpg" and/or parse the name of the Album as the title of the jpg e.g. Beverley Knight >> Affirmation >> Affirmation.jpg or to allow a custom extension to be chosen.

   This leads onto support for specific media streamers. In my case the Western Digital TV Live Streaming Media Player.

   WD have chosen to use freebase.com as their meta data source but freebase is woefully inadequate in so much as it fails to find most of my stuff and the source can't easily be changed, hence the use of bliss.

   WD employ an xml scraper to retrieve meta data for the music and (when it actually works) creates an xml file of the data scraped and a thumbnail as <Album Name>.metathumb within the album directory.

   The metathumb is simply a jpg that has been renamed and appears to be 150x150 in size.

   It would be great if bliss could add this additional scraping facility from a chosen source and save it in the required format.

   This would greatly enhance the set-and-forget capability on my Synology NAS to which my WD TV Live is connected

5. Keep database after upgrades

   Hello,

   After each upgrade Bliss has to scan all my library from scratch. Why doesn't Bliss keep the previous database and just upgrade the application?

6. dot character (".") as whitespace character (rather than _ or space)

   It looks like that format has some hard coded options for the separator, rather than a selector for the seperator character. eg: specify the separator character for "all", "album name", "artist name", etc.

7. Force Genres

   It would be helpful to be able to use the existing map structure of windows to enforce genres. For instance when I scan one map where I have all my Jazz music it would be great if all albums during that scan would be forced to be renamed as Jazz. This would save a lot of time as there otherwise will be a lot of different suggestions ...

8. reduce size for large art.... over 2 mb

   i have some albums that have LARGE art in it that i want to reduce... and i cant findt it anywhere on the net... so would be supernice to be able to reduce the size even if over 2 mb

11. An album filter to show the last N new additions

    I would like to be able to filter my albums on the last N additions -- that is, I would like to be able to see the last N CDs that I have added to my collection. N doesn't have to be an arbitrary number, but it would be nice to have a reasonable set of defaults for N.

12. Manipulation of Genre(s) so you can avoid 131 Genre etc...

    I have the old numbered genres tagged in my files and iTunes must automatically display them the way they should but my Sonos doesn't behave this way and gives me a bunch of numbered genre's.
    So I suggest a way to list all genre's that are in your library and then be able to edit those by a simple tag this tag that script so you can swap 131 for whatever it is meant to be. (I think 131 is Indie btw)
    Well that's just one simple idea for one specific editing feature of possibly a more complete genre database editing feature.

15. Web-based Playlist Creator/Editor as a "Companion App"

    It is a well known "limitation" of Bliss that it has the potential to "break" playlists...but playlists themselves are a pain to create - particularly in XBMC for example.

    Seeing as Bliss knows where the files are (and when it changes things) it would be great to be able to define and edit playlists from within Bliss. Create a playlist, tick which tracks you want in it; automatically shuffle them etc, and output in a chosen format to a specified file location. Every time Bliss makes a change that would other wise break a playlist, it could create a fresh one.

    Loosely linked to Music Management, but still would be very useful for me. I love playlists for background music, but I hate creating them...and this seems better as a server app than a desktop one.

    Half of my clicks go to the "why?" uncompliant link, for each album.
    Some way to unfold content hidden behind all these "why?" links on the page in one click would be nice.

    Add a few buttons to the "find artwork" page that retry the search, but using commonly-useful alternative search terms such as "artist and album name", "add 'EP' to title", "add 'box set' to title", and so on.

    Abou 25% or 1000 albums in my library are marked as uncompliant on file path. The vast majority of these albums have one or two tracks that are uncompliant because the file name does not exactly match the tags and in most cases it is because the tag contains a character such as "\" which is invalid in a file name. This is not an issue to me and I would rather leave the tag alone rather than change it so that the file name is valid. I would like to able to set the file path rule so that it only investigates down to the Album level and does not check the file names of each track.

19. Classical Music.The option to assign a single date for all albums by a composer

    Release date are pretty irrelevant in classical music and I have followed the practice of tagging classical albums with the date the compose died, It would be convenient to be able to auto tag all music by a composer with a single date.

20. Album art for other file types...

    I just realised that a lot of my music library is not even beig scanned by Bliss. I'm certain at least that all my files in musepack format (*.mpc) don't even appear in Bliss. Could this be fixed to at least scan the folder name (Artist - Album) even if Bliss cant read the mpc tags?
