An error occurred while saving the comment Ah yes - that should workaround it, but at the expense of larger (in terms of data size) images...
AdminDan Gravell (Founder and programmer, bliss) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, this has come up a couple of times in the past few weeks...
An error occurred while saving the comment No, if there's already art there it won't see the "folder" file has been changed and re-embed...
An error occurred while saving the comment Have you tried BatchPhoto? On a Linux platform, Image Magick will probably do it somehow.
What you could do is:
- Set bliss to remove embedded art
- Apply rules - all embedded art removed
- Run separate software to convert the folder.jpg files
- Set bliss to embed art (bliss will embed from folder.* if "folder" is set in the cover art filename field)
- Apply rules - all non-progressive JPEGs embeddedTake backups first ;-)
An error occurred while saving the comment Is this for embedded art?
For image files, you could use a separate image processing app.

An error occurred while saving the comment I tested this and after clicking a "Set to" response, only the album in question rescanned.
A few thoughts that might help us work out what is wrong:
- Make sure you're using the latest version - there was a fix for rescanning albums there
- Did you click it when an ongoing library-wide rescan was ongoing?
- Maybe it was the "Allow ..." fix? That definitely does induce a library-wide rescanIt's probably best if you can send us a debug archive - "Help" > "Download debug archive" to support@blisshq.com . Tell us, if you can remember, which album you clicked the "Set to" fix on.
An error occurred while saving the comment This sounds like a bug - only the album on which "Set genre to" should be rescanned. I'll check this later.

An error occurred while saving the comment @brunchto that's similar to http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/5292876-distinguish-albums-with-the-same-album-name-from-t - you want a different way of grouping albums.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, I think we'll end up going this way eventually. Did you see http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/5490000-individual-rulesets-for-different-locations ?
An error occurred while saving the comment The idea would be to convert all files from any format to one specific format, ignoring (but including) files already in that format.
An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting comment. You don't think maintaining different versions of a file is a form of management?
An error occurred while saving the comment The idea was also partly inspired by mp3fs ( http://mp3fs.sourceforge.net/ ) although obviously without the FUSE filesystem having the mirror leads to more duplication, so it's not quite as elegant.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks. Which page is this? Can you attach a screenshot?

An error occurred while saving the comment They are great suggestions, however, can you create separate suggestions for each task? There should be one each for:
- Ape support
- WavPack support
- 31 band equalizerIf we just have one ticket for all of these it is impossible to keep track of who is voting for what - some people are probably not interested in the 31 band equalizer.

An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting idea! I assume this is to support players that don't support disc numbers? You could also have a different syntax for the track number field, e.g.
0101 - Disc 1, track 1
0102 - Disc 1, track 2
0103
...
0201 - Disc 2, track 1 -

An error occurred while saving the comment Oh - I see - yes rescan happens when you click the top-level button.
An error occurred while saving the comment There is an annoying 5-10 minute wait after dropping new files, experienced that myself this morning...
Also "Rescan for new and updated files" will be quicker than a "Rescan".
An error occurred while saving the comment "Rescan" on any of the top level pages (the home page (Inbox), Albums, Artists et al) will rescan the whole library.
"Rescan" on any individual album page will only rescan that album.
An error occurred while saving the comment Have you done this accidentally yourself? I can't remember ever doing it accidentally...

An error occurred while saving the comment @Red thanks so much - it means a lot.
An error occurred while saving the comment I'm surprised this wasn't already suggested!

An error occurred while saving the comment @ivan this idea should cover ignoring elements of compliance: http://ideas.blisshq.com/forums/21939-bliss/suggestions/1928497-ignore-compliance-for-certain-albums
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks, this is very interesting! Makes me feel like allowing customisation is inevitable. I'm not sure on standard capitalisation in Swahili...

An error occurred while saving the comment Michael - what player are you using?
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, should definitely add this in!

An error occurred while saving the comment It may be that iTunes Match is matching the track to a version on a different release - this may be of a different length as the recording was cut for a different medium (e.g. compilation versions of songs can have different amounts of silence at either end of the track).
But I'm assuming it's silence that is copied - is it as bad as actual audible *music* copied? That would sound awful and sounds like a big issue.
I like this idea as a part of "album integrity" alongside the duplicates and missing track work.

An error occurred while saving the comment I think you're right about not realising the logo is clickable, and making it more obvious about how to find the Inbox.
An error occurred while saving the comment We were discussing this just this morning! Thing is, it feels like a redundant link. Do you think it's just that it needs to be "re-learned" that the "bliss" logo takes you to the front page, and the front page is (currently) dominated by the Inbox?
It could be that the Inbox gets its own page later, and we change the home page to have a smaller Inbox is combined with stats and other 'signposts' on the homepage.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks. After much delay, working on UX stuff, I'm hoping to get to a number of linked release related stuff soon.
An error occurred while saving the comment Good idea. Do you mean adding the URL for the release? Where would you want to find the data from?
Also, it would be good if the incorrect release wasn't chosen in the first place...

An error occurred while saving the comment Yep - really good point. Currently it appears with the same granularity as the rules on the settings page.
