I'm going to have to decline this because I strive for all ideas to be SMART - specific, measurable etc. This isn't really measurable, at what point does the UI stop sucking? ;) And it isn't specific, there are a lot of different points here. You could create individual ideas for the different points and I will leave that open (although check for duplicates first please).

Yeah this is up for review, I am considering making compliance always visible. I don't want to litter the screen with too much detail though and make the UI too cluttered.

The album screen collects a few things including more detail on compliance for various rules. You can also rescan the album from that screen. Originally that page could edit the album, genre etc just by clicking on it, but it got confusing as to when the details were saved, what esc did, what clicking away did, and then with the rescanning afterwards it was all a bit confusing. Moving to a modal approach feels more solid and deterministic.

What sort of selector do you want? I won't add a dropdown, there are too many potential years (remember some people have classical music!).
