Working on a subset of library to allow a step by step cleaning of library
When selecting the root folder, add the possibility to have a kind of regexp to select only a subset of the library.
I have a library with about 1500 album (20000 tracks), organised by Artists/Albums/Tracks and I would like to clean it step by step.
For example, with the regexp I could select only artists starting with A then with B, etc... The regexp will apply only to the first level of folders
This will ease the process of scanning which takes to much time.
Especially because after too many changes, the database get confused and I end up doing a "Clean and Resan" to start fresh...

The ruleset selector is a great idea, that I really would like to be available as soon as possible...
Concerning the workaround it is just "Ok" because I do not like the fact that I need to modify the content of my library to change the behaviour of an external tool, it is not a good idea for me. The behaviour of the tool should be configured at the tool level not at the library level.

This would be fixed by ruleset selectors - https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2017/08/01/ruleset-selecta/ the selector being "artist starts-with A" or something...
The only workaround for this right now is to use bliss-ignorefolders: https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2011/08/16/new-release-20110809/ (this is even easier in the case where files are organised by starting letter, but this is less likely to be the case).
