Showing tags and file size and bitrate of duplicates
One small request - the new built in duplicate deletion is good, but often for me the only difference between duplicates is file size / bit rate. This occurs when I’ve ripped and then reripped at a better quality. At the moment you can’t tell these files apart. Could you show this as well as the existing tags of the duplicates? Possibly the encoding too as often the only difference is lossy vs lossless?
Thanks Andy for the idea!

@Yves That's an interesting development of "duplicates" because it implies some level of duplication is permitted.

I would like to keep both format in the case of DSD and AIFF. These are not considered duplicates I want to remove

Also be able to make the difference between AIFF and AAC, for example.

Hey Andy, thanks for adding the duplicates feature, but I have the same issue with bit rates and lossy vs not lossy. Ideally the de-dupe should automatically look at a folder and preference the files by 1. non-lossy>lossy 2. high bitrate > lower bitrate.

Would love this feature: I have done a lot of ALAC re-rips and presently there appears to be no way of identifiying ALAC vs AAC (both have m4a suffix)
Thanks,
Jens
