drop "The" from result when using group token
When using group to create a folder structure, is it possible to drop "The" from the result? example, The Beatles would result in B, not T.

You can now use ARTISTSORT using the tag_field token: https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2016/11/15/release-20161108/
E.g.
<tag_field:album_artist_sort>
<tag_field:artist_sort>Have you tried that?
I'm considering closing this actually - I think using the correct tags is the best way forward for this.

I think it should be a global option. I am like Adam and prefer 'Artist, The'. I would expect this change to be in the metadata too.
Really its a all or nothing option from my point of view so I would go Global with it.

Adam, the file organisation rule just works off the tags. So are you saying you already have tags that have the artist name without "The"? If so, it would just be a case of changing the tag that is used (e.g. adding support for ALBUMSORT tags).

After a couple of years of using bliss, I have finally ventured (dared?) to use the File organisation rules and am manually testing how it works before taking the plunge and allowing bliss to organise my precious music files automatically. One thing I have found quite quickly is that bliss wants to re-insert the "The" that I spent quite some time manually removing to avoid and reduce searching through (e.g. I found it easier to find "Beatles" under "B" than look for "The Beatles" under "T". This may not be strictly correct but was easier for me to use.
If there is a way to implement bliss automatic file organisation which ignores the "The" then I'd be much more keen to use that feature.

I think it would have to be an option. To some the canonical name (in this case, The Beatles), is preferred. Question is, should this be a global option affecting all rules? Or just for the file org rule... for instance should the "album artist" token be configurable?
