AIFF support
Any way for Bliss to support AIFF files? Most of my collection is AIFF and I would gladly purchase Bliss if you were to suppport it
This has now been released: http://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2015/11/17/new-release-20151110-aiff-wav-tagging/

That's right Matt, Apple Lossless is supported already. AIFF is a different format.

Re comment by anonymous 13 March 2012: I think Bliss does work with m4a, if by that you mean the Apple lossless format. My Squeezebox seems able to access album art added by Bliss anyway.

I also would like to have more support for AIFF or m4a formats. 95% of my library is using some sort of lossless compression, or uncompressed files. I'm only using the trial ware at the moment so no loss, but if you supported these other formats I'd definitely be happy to pay up.
Nice work by the way. Great idea.

I also vote for AIFF support...

Hey Anonymous... email me privately - bliss@blisshq.com - and I'll refund your fixes. No point having them if you can't use them!

Let me add another comment to encourage support for AIFF formats. I bought the extra "fixes" on Bliss to address the missing artwork on my Squeezebox Touch for all my AIFF files so needless to say that idea didn't work.

I would also like to see support for AIFF.

I think most audiophiles using itunes use AIFF.
Therefore it is a must for me. -
No, bliss won't read the AIFF tags either I'm afraid...

Thx for the feedback. I guess there is not many tagging programs supporting AIFF (probably due to many of them being based on JAudio Tagger project). Tag and rename can handle AIFF though, but lack the funcionality you provide.
I guess a lot of my fellow audiophiles would be greatful if AIFF could be supported sometime in the future (but I do understand that this must come through the JAudio project).
One last question to make sure I understand completly: Could I still use it along for instance Tag & Rename? Meaning, does Bliss read AIFF tags (but not support tagging those files) or is it not able to read AIFF tags at all?
Thx :-)

bliss uses the JAudioTagger library for reading/writing tags. This library has no support for AIFF at present.
However, if there was enough backing for this feature (I understand this format is used in recording studios) , I would consider writing support and contributing it to the JAudioTagger project.
