Write musicbrainz Track IDs (MUSICBRAINZ_ID) into files
I'm not sure what exactly bliss does when it is fingerprinting but it would be helpful if it could write the MBIDs that it either generates or receives from MusicBrainz into the files.
Reason: The popular Squeezebox TrackStat plugin can use these to identify songs even after they have been moved or renamed. If there are no Track IDs in the files, all TrackStat statistics (Playcount, rating etc) will be lost if files are renamed or moved.
Thanks for this. I also removed 'UFID' from the title... not sure what that is.
When bliss is 'fingerprinting' it is looking up data for untagged music files to display on the 'untagged' page. All it does there is to create a fingerprint, look up the data and then store it within bliss for your approval. Then, if the tags are approved they are written into the files. See http://www.blisshq.com/support/tutorials/auto-tagging-your-music-files.html
This is a good idea... Same could be said for MusicBrainz album and artist IDs.
I should clarify: delete "PUID" from this post. If I understand it correctly, the PUID is MusicID related and not the same as the MusicBrainz Track ID (see here: http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/PicardTagMapping)
