Check for photo not available
I have several albums for which bliss asked me to select from several choices. I selected a choice, and bliss tried to get the picture from flickr. The photo was not available, and a cover.gif was installed in the album directory. The cover.gif image said "This photo is currently unavailable".
Examples:
artist = Jim Croce, album = 36 All-Time Greatest Hits
artist = Max Lasser's Ark, album = Into The Rainbow
artist = Branford Marsalis, album = Royal Garden Blues2 votesThis is now completed. The actual problem was that we weren’t handling data from our Google search properly. This affected Flickr searches particularly badly.

bliss should consume less memory
Currently for me, with a library of about 400 albums, bliss consumes around 120MB (Linux). It is similar in Windows. bliss should consume less memory, because larger libraries may struggle to fit in.

clear web interface when settings change
When settings are change, clear the 'activity' page so that the new search starts afresh - for example if I change the music folder from /storage/music/mp3 to /storage/music/flac then it would be good for activity to start afresh with no other info

Showing size of artwork choices when >1 to choose from
When you go into the screen to choose artwork it would be good to see the size of the chosen artwork in there - people may want to choose based on the size rather then clicking into the actual image

Add a status indicator onto the web interface to show how many folders are in the search location and the progress through that when bliss kicks off

Min/max art size should work on existing art
Currently this only governs new art downloaded.
It should apply to existing art too. If the existing art falls outside the constraints then if a good result can be obtained it will be resized automatically. If not, and a definite match within the size constraints can be found on the Web, it should be downloaded and installed. If there is not a definite match, suggest it to the user.

If existing art is too large for the rule you define, bliss resizes the art automatically.
If it is too small, bliss will search online for art that is the correct size.

Only save a separate album art file when all the files in a directory are for the same album
If you have tracks with different album titles in the same directory, currently the art for the first track bliss encounters will be saved as an album art file.
I think it just shouldn't save a separate file in these circumstances (it should still embed though, if the user has asked to embed).
2 votesbliss will only save a separate file for the album if all the tracks in a given directory come from the same album. Embedded images are not affected.

When an MP3 is only ID3v1 (and album art can't be embedded), provide a shortcut to convert to ID3v2
MP3s with ID3v1 tags cannot have album art embedded. Currently bliss just reports this as a failure. Add a response to the failure activity to upgrade the tag, and insert the art.
2 votesThis is now completed. When you get presented the error message about ID3v1, you get an option to add an ID3v2 tag and reinstall the artwork, embedding it in the latter tag.

Refund Process
Detail a refund process on your web site for people who expectations this software fails to meet because emailing back and forth is time consuming for all parties involved and it helps with the validity of the software.

Hi, DSM 7.0 is ready , now bliss dont work with dsm 7.0, have you a relase date for a new package installation for DSM 7.0?

Options to fix Year and Genre only if BLANK
Offer the possibility of a "gap fill" for Genre and Year where those values are empty

OK, so the buy a subscription hyperlink is fixed in the new version. People who are waiting for this fix cannot use the new version...
The broken hyperlinks in Bliss for the renewal of subscription for either Paypal or credit cards only offer more fixes. This is fixed in a new version that we (people who have raised this problem) cannot use.

Note that PayPal says that this is a potential charge of "£12.00 GBP"From past experience, if you proceed you will be credited with extra fixes, not another year's support.
If you want people to extend their support contract this would be a good bug to fix.

Inbox: Add a button: Fix All Rules on all pages
Inbox: Add a button: Fix All Rules that includes every separate rule and all items for all pages (independent of the item-per-page setting of 12-48-96
(In my case I have 8 rules applied, resulting in 12 pages with 96 albums each, where I had to tag 10 to 15 rule-fixing-bars per page....)

Add a button or mode: Fix all now / Auto fix all
It is quite clear when Bliss is scanning.
The Inbox shows items to 'Fix' trust can be tagged manually.
(To me) it is quite unclear when Bliss does its fixing (including the Inbox suggestions)(Will it fix all found issues visible in the Inbox anyway or do I have to tag each bar or button manually?)
Therefore add a button or user mode:
Fix all now/ Auto fix all on start up1 voteThis is now done – “fix all now” can be done with the fix-all button on the Inbox. “Auto fix” can be done by choosing “automatic” on the settings page (as opposed to “manual”).

Index the items we want to edit
Often I find I got a genre wrong, like I put in "psych/garage" when the library uses "psych-garage". So Bliss finds it and lets me make the change. So I click to change, and it runs forever before coming back showing success. OR it shows "lost connection with localhost". So I close the program, restart, and it shows ALL my albums "unknown". So I have to rescan. It runs for hours and presents the list of work in the Inbox, where I can click to make a change. I do, and nothing happens. So I go to "Album" view and…

The Fix All would be nice by category
The Fix All button looks god, but is just too big a hammer to use. Perhaps if it can be done by category of fix, or by artist or album?

Bliss does not properly handle the track name "!!!!!!!"
I find that Bliss does not properly handle the track name "!!!!!!!" on "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" by Billie Eilish. It keep flagging it as incorrect.

Having many fix options is clunky in the "new" inbox
The new inbox is really clunky to set the genre from the suggested list.
In the original inbox, I could quickly "page down" to the button I wanted.
In the "new" I 1) don't see the whole list on the page and 2) have to click a horizontal scrollbar and 3) the scroll bar doesn't work (I'm using 64-bit Java which could cause that problem I suppose).1 voteThe horizontal scrolling has been replaced by an expandable vertical panel: https://www.blisshq.com/music-library-management-blog/2020/01/21/release-20200117/
